Retrospective April 2004 -to- April 2011
In April 2011Unheardwords celebrated it's seventh year of encouraging new writers and writing -
in recognition we've selected seven works, each representing one of those years...

We hope you enjoy them.

Sanjulo (2004),  Sliver of Light
"A wonderful poet who came to us early. What a pleasure it was to receive such crisp, descriptive and affirming poetry."

Marcia Calame (2005),  Ebony Love. Ebony Touch
"A poet and poetry of great distinction; a cultural voice at the centre of a heart beating sweet striking words."

Jonathan Dumas (2006),  Boston 3
"It was a delight to receive these three poems, the clarity of their words suggesting simplicity but releasing meaning in volumes"...I'm on the rail to Boston to smell your hair and swallow your voice...
Maria G (2007),  go down easy
"a refreshing summer slice of creativity, the words sounding and sitting on, like wisps recurring, concise and complete."
Suzanne Flynn (2008) -
poet / song-writer, performer, on her face
"In these words you'll find truth in the harsh light of poetic day. What's written is really felt, experienced and relayed in a straight-up, sparce and textured fashion."
kwaku Amoako (2009), Love at a Glance
"Soft and tender, the words and phrasing, challenging meaning and sweetly conveying a love."

Marilyn C. Fairley (2010),
Eulogy of "The Ex-Wife"
"It's the quick wit, the warm, wry humour that makes the poem come alive for us."

Sandra Jennings (2011),
Journey Made Possible
"The lines, their words are like colourful shards, a mingling of past and future, sober statement of what exists, alongside what has existed...
