Ring .. Wife

FEATURED WORK

  His Ring / My Wife

You may be with him,
but secretly you are longing for me.
My touch penetrated your body,
went straight to your soul,
deeper than he could ever dream to be.

I hear he’s been promoted, too bad;
he’s not the best man for the job.
Lucky for him,
he happened to be
in the right place at the right time to win your love.
Too bad for him that I am in love with you too,
and I am vent on making you mine.

He doesn’t see the gleam in your eyes,
when you look at me.
He doesn’t hear the affection in your voice
when you call my name.
I have been forced into a position,
where I am going to have to destroy his world,
and for that, I feel ashamed.

I can live with the shame.
I can’t live without you!
I hope he is prepared to fight for your love,
because that’s exactly what he is going to have to do.

How many nights have you laid in bed longing for my touch?
How many days have you found yourself lost in a dream,
because you missed me that much?

How many times has the phone rang,
and you prayed it was my voice on the other line?
How many times have you reminisced,
and wished that you were still mine?

How many times have you looked him in the eye,
and wondered why he couldn’t be me?
You can’t be 100 per cent comfortable with him...
because it’s not meant to be.

You may wear his ring,
and he may reside in a special place in your heart.
I once lived where he now resides,
so I know you have only entrusted him with a very small part.

I’m not looking just to inhabit your special place;
I want to live in the rest of your life...
I have nothing against your fiancé;
he just placed his ring on the finger of my wife...
