"I'm told, the inspiration for this poem was the energy of a child, their constant get-up and go and go, driving life force that amazed the parent who wrote the piece. I like it's brief clipped style and the use of words to convey movement in fluid terms." Khome

Image a blur

Even in the picture
he was moving,
image a blur,
torso arced,
legs in flex,
arms - get set - ready.

The twist and swirl,
the turn and twirl,
and slip,
and pitch,
and slide.

There now,
here now,
occupant of place,
resident of space,
now, there.

Ebb and emergent flow,
fluid motion,
voluminous,
shifting in waves,
rolling, rotating, spinning.

A grace perpetual,
array of poetic shapes,
changed states,
non-stop, light as energy.
And, even in the picture he was moving.
